How to use these prompts

Whose tree house is this?
Write a story about the children who play in it.
Or, alternatively, perhaps it's a tree house used by adults -
a boutique hotel room, perhaps.
Or some other function?



Prompts

  2. School's out for Summer. Write a story set on the last day of term.
  3. It's Video Games Day. Write a story based on a computer game, or about a bunch of kids who are playing one.
  4. It's That Man Again.
  5. It's Etch-A-Sketch Day. Someone, or some thing, is leaving messages on a child's Etch-A-Sketch.

Character Traits
  • Likely to have relatively easy lives, neither very rich nor very poor.
  • Have ties to their homes and feel the need to be loyal to it or to defend it. There is, however, a desire for travel and new experiences.
  • Would rather be directed than live an independent life.
  • Sudden changes in employment are likely.
  • Intelligent and artistic.
  • Concerned for the needs of others.
  • Likely to live a long life despite a possible physical disability, weakness or self-destructive tendency.
  • They may survive a potentially fatal incident which they see as a new birth or chance to make a new start.

  • Career choices could include primary school teacher, politics, social work, arts or the priesthood. Will be successful an=t what they do but not likely to be in a prominent position.
