How to use these prompts

Prompts

  1. Love isn't there to make us happy. It exists to show us how much we can endure.” Herman Hesse
  2. Wimbledon starts about now. Write a story set at the tennis tournament, or featuring tennis in some way.
  3. On the birthday of Imelda Marcos, write about a person who is crazy about shoes.
  4. It's I Forgot Day. Your character has forgotten something very important.
  5. It's world UFO Day. Your character sees an unidentified flying object.

Character Traits
  • Fond of details and may be seen as fussy.
  • Tend to invest in property rather than save money.
  • Young at heart, enjoy youthful pursuits. Possibly a bit of a buffoon.
  • Have a youthful view of romance and tend to idealise their partners.
  • Very popular, as they are friendly, optimistic and spread happiness wherever they go.
  • They can however be shallow and naïve.
  • Impulsive, which means they sometimes bite off more than they can chew.
  • They learn from experience and their optimism and a good share of luck helps them through. They brush themselves off and start again.
