  1. It's US Independence Day, so time for a story with an American theme. Set it in America, or have an American protagonist.
  2. In 1829, a Mr. Shillibeer started running the first bus service in London. Write a story featuring a London bus.
  3. Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.” Marie Curie
  4. It's Barbecue Day. Your character decides to throw a barbecue. Who do they invite? Does the weather hold? What goes horribly wrong?
