How to use these prompts


A winter's day



Prompts

  2. "Happiness sneaks through a door you didn't know you left open." John Barrymore
  3. Jewellery Day is celebrated on the birthdate of Charles Tiffany. Write a story featuring jewellery.
  4. YouTube was launched in 2005. Write a story featuring YouTube - can be someone making a video for it, or making an amazing discovery on the site.
  5. In 1971, the UK adopted decimal currency after over a thousand years of pounds, shillings and pence. Write a story, either about money, perhaps someone in 1971 getting to grips with "new money", or someone having to cope with a big change; something that has been the case all of their life is suddenly no longer so.

Character Traits
  • Children of nature who lack manners and don't conform to society, although they do enjoy social events and entertainment.
  • Helpful and nurturing with a desire to personally serve others. They are less interested in helping humanity as a whole and prefer not to get involved in wider reaching projects.
  • Dedicated to family and country.
  • Responsible and reliable and concerned about meeting their obligations.
  • Receptive to psychic influences, which they may or may not be aware of.
  • Energetic and aspiring - can achieve great things.
  • A weakness for drink or gambling which can lead to them leading a dissipated life.
  • Torn between a fear of poverty and a dislike of workplace routine.
  • May choose to work in astrology, painting, music or publishing. They could also end up running a casino.
  • Their children may abandon them.
  • Tend to be hoarders.
