2. It's Battery Day. Write a story featuring a battery. A battery which fails at a critical moment, perhaps; someone making creative use of one; or whatever else you can think of.
3. In 1678, John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress was published. Write about someone, of any religious persuasion of your choice, who goes on a pilgrimage.
4. In 1849, a sea serpent was sighted off the Florida coast. Write a story about the crew of a boat or ship who encounter an unusual sea creature.
