How to use these prompts

Prompts

  1. It's Groundhog Day. Write a story about deja Vu.
  2. Groundhog Day, and Candlemas, are both celebrated today and have traditions regarding the weather. If the weather is fine today, winter will return, if the weather is awful, spring is on the way. What is the weather like where you are? What does that mean to your character?
  3. "Throughout the centuries there were men who took the first steps down roads armed with nothing but their own vision." Ayn Rand
  4. In 1915, Balto the husky was the lead dog in a desperate run across Alaska with diptheria vaccine for Nome. Write a story about a heroic dog.
  5. A Bonza Bottler Day is a day when the date and the month are the same, ie, 2nd Feb, 3rd March, etc. It was created by a woman in Australia who felt that there should be an excuse for a party every month. Write a story called "Any Excuse for a Party."

  • Enterprising, adventurous spirits.
  • Capable of feeling at home wherever they go, which means they can do very profitable business overseas. They also adapt easily to different social situations.
  • Have an infectious enthusiasm and strong powers of persuasion.
  • Articulate, with a wide range of interests.
  • Likely to come into contact with people very different from themselves.
  • Good at both talking and listening. Enjoy sharing feelings with others.
  • Can be eccentric and restless.
  • Fond of sports, music and reading.
  • Hate to be ignored but have no wish to dominate other people. Pleasant and easy with everyone, but never submissive.
  • Have a tendency to do the same things in the same ways, although they are open-minded.
  • Intuitive, capable of perceiving spiritual realities.
  • Will do well in careers connected to iron and fire, be it blacksmithing or running a full-scale industrial complex.
  • Philosophy, writing, journalism and music are other careers they may take up.
  • May suffer from a disorder of the thyroid or pituitary gland.
  • Cane be prone to jealousy and depression.
  • Disputes with neighbours are possible.
