Write a story about them.


Prompts

  1. According to the Woodland Trust, today is the day, on average, when bluebells first flower in Britain. Write a story set in a bluebell wood.
  2. "Art is never finished, only abandoned." Leonardo da Vinci
  3. It's That Sucks Day. a day when traditionally, bad things happen, like Abraham Lincoln dying the morning after he was shot and the Titanic sinking in the early hours after hitting the iceberg, for example. Write about someone who is having a really, really bad day.
  4. It's said that in 1285, a ghost danced at the wedding of Alexander III King of Scots. Write about a ghost which appears at a wedding. The woman the groom murdered in order to marry his bride? Granny wishing the couple well? Or something else?
  5. In 2010, flights across Europe were disrupted after a volcano erupted in Iceland and airspace for miles around was closed. Write about someone who was stranded somewhere as a result of this. Did it change their life? What adventures did they have trying to get home? Did they try to get home at all?
