How to use these prompts

Write about someone who lives or works

Prompts

  1. "It is better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." Marilyn Monroe
  2. It's Clothes Changing Day, which in Japan is the traditional day for people to put away their winter wardrobe and get the summer one out. Write about someone who is reviewing their wardrobe and making significant changes.
  3. Flip A Coin Day - your character decides that for one day, every decision they have to make will be decided on the toss of a coin.
  4. In 1908, John Krohn decided to take a walk around America with a wheelbarrow. Write about another person who decides to make a similar epic trip.
  5. Write about an early bird.

Character Traits
  • Travel is likely, perhaps because of work, but it could also be because of the end of relationships or even exile.
  • Family is of great importance and can be their greatest fulfilment or their greatest sorrow. Likely to have many children.
  • They may be lucky in competitions, but their luck may be sporadic.
  • Restless, often believing the grass is greener elsewhere. This may result in an urge to travel, and can lead to them missing the opportunities which are under their noses.
  • Willing to endure pain in order to gain. Believers in mind over matter.
  • Have commanding physiques and can be haughty and overbearing.
  • Romantics who want to have it all.
  • Possible careers are tourism, aviation, sport, finance, architecture, arbitrator, horse trader, or commerce in a niche or folk culture field.
  • Tendency to avoid responsibility.
  • Almost prophetic insight.
