How to use these prompts

Who is on the beach?

Prompts

  1. World Marriage Day is celebrated around now. Your characters are a married couple working to save their marriage.
  2. Today was the birthday of Burl Ives. Write a story set at the Ugly Bugs' Ball or on the Big Rock Candy Mountain.
  3. "The Moving Finger Writes, and having writ, moves on." Edward Fitzgerald
  4. Around now, a picnic is held in the US for women called Betty. Write about a get together for people who share the same name. It doesn't have to be Betty - it can be any name you wish.
  5. Also around now is World Doll Day. Write a story featuring a doll.

  • Probably good at maths.
  • Have faith in themselves and others.
  • Possible psychic ability.
  • May find it difficult to focus on one area of interest. Lack clarity and concentration.
  • Likely to live comfortably and not suffer need. May briefly enjoy public honour.
  • May be drawn to work as a craftsman or carpenter.
  • Health can be affected if they do not eat properly.
  • Tend to live for momentary excitement.
