How to use these prompts

Why so many pumpkins all in one place?

Prompts

1. It's Driving Day. Your character is driving. Where they are going and why is up to you, but if you're stuck for ideas here are a few: They are on their driving test. They are doing the school run. They are a bus/lorry driver. They are on a road trip.
2. It's My Mom Is A Student Day. Your character is a young person whose mother has gone back to school or college. What do they make of this? Perhaps they even find themselves in the same class.
3. "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." Friedrich Nietsche
4. An album by Lynyrd Skynyrd was released in 1977 with a cover showing group members enveloped in flames. Five days later, three of the group died in a plane crash. Write about an album cover which proves eerily prophetic.
5. Hagfish Day, celebrated around now, promotes the fact that beauty isn't everything. Your character is an ugly person, or creature, whose other qualities shine to the fore.

Character Traits

• Physically strong, vigorous and handsome.
• Tend to be dominant with partners but are careful and loving with them. Possibly gay, not always faithful to one partner; but dedicated to home and family.
• Proud, independent and confident, love to be distinguished.
• Over-confidence can lead to a lack of attention to detail.
• While they prefer to work alone and in private they are ambitious and can achieve great renown in their work. Speculation is unlikely to be successful, though.
• Good fortune may result from travel.
• Sharp wit, which can manifest as good-natured irony or bitter sarcasm.
• Can have a hot temper.
• Idealistic, and will help the needy.
• Adaptable, able to take on any role on demand, but that can mean they are blown by the wind or shifted by every current.
• Like careers where the competition is stiff, but the rewards greater. They would be capable of managing businesses or institutions dealing with public interests, possibly in finance.
• Alternatively, science, arts, writing or music may be their career choice.
• Need to beware of those who are jealous of their position.
