2. It's International Conscientious Objectors Day. Write about someone who refuses to fight during a war.
3. In 1930, Ellen Church, the first air hostess, began work. Her duties included cleaning the plane, carrying luggage and helping to push the plane out of the hangar! Write a story featuring an air hostess.
4. In 1986, two survivors of a hiking expedition caught in a whiteout blizzard were found. Their nine friends had all been killed. Write about a group of teenagers who go hiking or camping and what they do when things go terribly wrong.
5. On the 15th of May, according to Dr Seuss, Horton the elephant was splashing in a pool and enjoying the jungle's great joys when he heard a small noise. What might have happened next?
