A year of writing prompts: 8 November

How to use these prompts

Who lives (or used to live) in this castle?
Write a story about someone, or something, who lived here.

Prompts
  1. "Who overcomes by force hath overcome but half his foe." John Milton
  2. It's Romances Are Rewarding Day, so have a go at writing a soppy romantic story.
  3. In 1971, Led Zeppelin's fourth, untitled album became their all time best seller. The popularity of the track, Stairway to Heaven is possibly the reason. Write about a Stairway to Heaven. Either a literal one or a figurative one such as the flight of steps to a man's girlfriend's flat.
  4. Lord Lucan disappeared in 1974. A high profile person of your choice (real or imagined) vanishes. Why? Is the person ever found?
  5. The first episode of Please Sir starring John Alderton as a newly qualified teacher aired this day in 1968. Your character is a newly qualified teacher facing a class for the first time.
