Prompts

  1. Write a story for International Women's Day. It can be about women fighting for their rights, women in a man's world, a strong female protagonist - you choose.
  2. "The young man knows the rules but the old man knows the exceptions." Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr
  3. In 1887, the telescopic steel fishing rod was patented. Write a story about a fishing trip.
  4. In 1978 the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was first broadcast on the BBC. Write a story set in that universe, or, if you're not familiar with it, a story featuring a towel, a depressed robot and/or someone protesting because their house is to be demolished to make way for a new bypass.
  5. It's Stretch Your Legs Day. Write about someone who goes for a walk, which changes their life.

  • Have a tendency to pursue too many goals at once, often starting new projects before completing the old ones. Have too great hopes for the future.
  • Often fail to make plans or live within their means.
  • Dreamers who need support from others in order to get anywhere.
  • Easily distracted. Indecisive and fickle, but also versatile.
  • Will either be completely illogical, or super-rational.
  • Often believe themselves to be special in some way.
  • Fond of reading.
  • Enjoy parties.
  • Enjoy travel, and may embark on a career connected to travel. Social work, writing, communication and work with the public are also likely careers. It's likely they will bring pleasure to many.
  • Interested in gardening, nutrition and economics.
  • Tend to eat a lot.
  • May have unsuitable affairs.
  • Their health tends to improve with age. Possible health problems are mental, brain or nervous system disorders, or digestive system ailments.
  • May have been raised in an unstable home and have been separated from family.
  • Sympathetic and sensitive to health matters, physical complaints and social injustice.
  • Tend not to be lucky when gambling.
